Disciplinary Committee

POCSO Committee

Protecting children from sexual offences as mandated by law

Purpose

  • Implement the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012
  • Provide a safe and confidential reporting mechanism for students
  • Conduct age-appropriate awareness programmes for students and staff
  • Ensure all mandatory reporting obligations to authorities are fulfilled
  • Support survivors with counselling and appropriate referrals

Scope

Child Protection Committee

Ensuring every child's right to a safe and nurturing environment

Purpose

  • Uphold and promote the rights of every child enrolled at DPS Kamrup
  • Identify and respond to signs of abuse, neglect, or exploitation
  • Develop and regularly update the school's Child Protection Policy
  • Train all staff in child safeguarding principles and reporting obligations
  • Build a culture of openness where children feel safe to speak up

  • Develop and maintain the school's Emergency Response Plan
  • Coordinate fire drills, earthquake drills, and other safety simulations
  • Assess and mitigate physical hazards across the school campus
  • Liaise with local fire department, police, and civil defence authorities
